Quotes from the book…

“Considering the imbalanced, incredibly-stressful world we live in, all cannabis use is ‘medicinal.’ The plant is a preventative medicine, an approach to wellness that our culture doesn’t prioritize as a fundamental part of health-care.”

“Regular doses of cannabis, - not necessarily a lot at once, - is a tonic to support a powerful healing system for mental health and wellness. Whether we have a natural deficiency or stressful and imbalanced lifestyle, cannabis is a dietary supplement, much like vitamins, minerals, amino acids, or omega-3 fatty acid supplements.”

“Cannabis is the most widely-used substance in the world. It’s been used medicinally for thousands of years. It’s one of humanity’s oldest cultivated crops. With education, and some trial and error, each person can form a unique relationship to this herbal remedy to treat and prevent countless common ailments.”

“Perhaps you already reach for a joint to step outside the noise from time to time, or you drop into a yoga class when you’ve had a particularly stressful week, but if you haven’t combined the two, you’re in for a treat. Think about it like peanut butter and chocolate: while each is fantastic on their own, when they come together one makes the other better!”

“On a personal level, cannabis helps me to disengage my brain from my task-lists and concerns, so I can more easily release the thoughts that distract me from my practice of mindfulness, movement, breathing, and meditation, all of which relax me further.”
